We want to
share our love
of crafting with you!

I love to try new things. I especially love to try my hand at a DIY project so I can have the satisfaction of making something with my own two hands rather than buying it in the store.

I want to share that passion with you!

A very windy day in San Francisco, May 2017

The face behind the name

Hello! I’m Kirsty. Proud Kiwi, DIY extraordinaire, small biz girl boss, marathon runner, world traveller, cat lover and tea drinker. Over the years I’ve tried my hand at several DIY projects ranging from melting old candles into tin cans when I was about eight years old, to building a deck off my house last summer, all with my own two hands.

No matter the size of the project, I’ve always found intense satisfaction in making something from scratch. In creating.

If you’re here, that means you have a passion for creating too. I hope you get as much joy out of crafting as I do!

Some of my DIY projects

Making cold process soap is one of my all time favourite crafts!

A little planter box made from recycled pallets.

Soy candles. These have come a long way from my first attempt at candle making way back in the ’80’s!

The fence I built is being load tested by my monster fur baby, Penny.

Bath salts. A quick and easy project that I make often.

A kitchen counter made from recycled rimu floor boards and light fixtures made from recycled vases.

A map of Paris circa 1734. One of my favourite cities! This print and frame were made to look aged, as though the map had been folded away for centuries.
